i've joined to GT-300 obsessed club, it's official. My cars build will be focused on prep for that kit. Here's the current plan:
finish out the stereo and start doing audio comps, maybe get some $$ and save that up.
get some nice ground control coil overs nothing too crazy, but adjustable so that when the GT300 arrives I will be prepared to set the height as needed
start saving money in a rims fund and roll on stocks till I get the cash for the deep dishes
keep saving for the kit and labor
As I see it my main "hidden" concerns are the wheels and suspension. What am I missing?
Should I drop this whole thing and just go for a pimped out kaminari celica instead (still undecided) I love each road equally so help me out here. It comes down to is the widebody realistic for me without sponsorship? Should I just go with a kam look and work that and a few years down the road when my engines fried and I swap it do the widebody conversion then.
I leave it to you guys.

kaminari would probably be better for daily use but heck i'd just go straight to the top and get what I'd want and enjoy it... beting the APR widebody ...when else would you get to have fun with it go for it matt

Widebody Anyone can do pimped out Kam. Widebody takes balls. And money. Mostly money. If you can do it, rock on.

If you go widebody, I wouldn't install it until you have everything. Widebody with stock rollers would look really weird.

if you want to do it, widebody. take your time Exactly, I want to slowly acrue the parts over the next year or so then start saving for the labor and what not. I'm in no rush. I COULD go all out and do it now, but it would be rushed and tap me of funds for a while. ...Though I imagine with a widebody the money from shows and pictures and what not would quickly repay what was spent. I have a friend that works for a german racing comapny and is heavy into the show scene that could hopefully introduce me to a few of the right people when the time comes. I dunno, I agree it takes balls and cash. Looks like I just need to start saving the cash. Thanks for your support. You think ground control coilovers would work for the widebody? or should I get something heavtier?

If you go widebody, I wouldn't install it until you have everything. Widebody with stock rollers would look really weird. yeah the plan is to just stock pile the parts and do it all at once. The hard part is going to be dealing with my stock kit and rims till that time cause I really want to upgrade but it doesn't make sense to be wasting money on that stuff when I'd just have to sell it later, know what I mean? So I'll work on my engine and be a sleeper lol. What do you guys think of the ground controls for the APR kit? I don't really want crazy adjustibilit, just want to be able to get the APR off the ground a lil for the daily driving and down a bit for shows. Nothing crazy. Also, what kind of shocks? I don't think I need the adjustibility of KYB AGXs I want a stiff handling ride. Any suggestions?

I could never be happy with anything but the widebody. To me, it seems like there is the widebody Celicas on top, then everything else is below them.
I got the TRD coilovers and I have seen them for as low as $600 new in some for sale forums now.
