Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Hood Release

I went out to jump my car today, and i went to pull my hood release level, and it moves but it won't pop the hood. There is a lot of tension in the lever. I'm not gonna yank it, casue i dont want to break it. . .

is there an emergency one somewhere?

No one has touched the car, so i dont know how it happens. . . all i can come up with, is that its frozen, but i dont think it is?

was it cold there? if it was then thats probably it, keep trying till it opens

Probably Frozen... or your lever may be loose, like the screws that hold it, and may be wiggling too much and it won't pop :shrugs:

If you can get it to pop up half way take a flashlight and have a look under there and see if you can see what it is, if it's the "frozen" thought, then just pour a little hot water on there.

it poped ... i just had to pull it kinda hard. . . werid. . .
