yes, I actually have them in my hand grin I picked them up last night.

next step is to get them installed and do my before/after dynos.

I'll keep everyone updated on the progress and let you know as soon as I have the dynos.

Bad news is that this is going to be too aggressive to run on the stock ecu.

for comparison this would be like the equivalent of a stage 2.5 cam for the rsx guys.

the main focus was mid - low end power with a slight increase on the high lobe.

Now, unlike what people have imagined I fully expect to be raising lift and NOT lowering it to make more power. I'm pre-guessing we made end up with lift at around 7K rpms. but this is still just speculation.

also here's what the stock specs were actually at...

Intake side only:
Low - 234 degrees duration, .190" of lift
High - 302 degrees duration, .265" of lift

I dunno if chris wants me to post his numbers til after the dynos cause we didnt discuss that so, I'll wait for him to decide on that.

remember this is still a prototype.

it's the VVT we're worried about.

after the dynos when we release the specs, this will make more sense. Chris decided it's best to wait til the dynos have been made to release the specs.

You wont get the full advantage of the cam with a stroker kit.

Cam = higher revving power
Stroker = lowering rev limit

see frown

we'll make PLENTY of power from this little 1.8 liter thumbsup

Well think of it this way, we have a variable valve timing system. Meaning we can change the valve overlap and duration using the ecu. The intake cam is the only cam that is variable. So, by doin an intake cam, we can alter the overlap/duration more thru the ecu. By doing the exhaust cam, we can only alter it slightly.

well i am happy to see tpr attempting a venture so involved such as this.
just the fact that they even attempted to produce a prototype shows there dedication to the 2zz market.
i for one will be one of the first to pic up this fine product after there has been thorough testing and it has shown that it can withstand "the daily grind"
i would also like to see those damn headers to by the way grin thumbsup
good luck

once you see the specs for the cam you'll be amazed lol

the idle ought to be... well unique wink thumbsup

I think 10 whp peak will be realistic to aim for. but I think the big gains will be midrange. and the lift transition is gonna have some drastic changes.

I fully expext lift to be raised to about 7K and peak torque to be made around 7200 rpms give or take. I also expect peak power to move a lil bit too. I used to make peak power at 7800 rpms. I expect tht number to shift up around 8300.

but this is a guess based on best case scenario.

I'm waiting on shims from toyota before I can finish the install. expect nothing further til the end of the week. takes awhile to get the shims shipped.

ONLY 1G for an intake cam is more like it. Barely breaking even on the part of the manufacturer is something the consumer should be thankful for. YES.

i cant belive how this pplz keep fucking wining about the price. look guys im only fucking 18 years old, and work for a damn craft store. I make 8 an hour, but im not fucking complaning about the price, im just going to shut up and save up because its something you will never get for a cheaper price. shit if you want go to a cam shop and ask them to custom make you one and see wat you end up with. if you think this is way 2 expensive then walk away and stay under 200whp thats it end of it. sorry to look like an asshole but im just tired of pplz being cheap, if you really want performance be willing to pay for it. nothing is free or cheap now days angry
