ok my question is i have 18 inch rims with 220/18/40 tires and i have some rubbing but is minimal and only when i turn the wheel all the way to either side and that stock springs now i want to drop it 2.2 inches, is it possible? what will happen? how will handling be? will there be more rubbing? any hell will be helpful thanks in advanced

How wide are your rims?? I am running an 18x8 with 225/40's and I have no rubbing with a sportline drop. FYI

the rims rub on the plastics but like i said it only rubs when i pull the wheel all the way to either side but hardly over and sorry i am not sure how wide they are buy i think they are 18X8 also

might be rubbing not sure though i have matrix drop 2inch fron and rear with 17x7s and there is no rubbing but your bave bigger rims with more of a drop im guessing there would be

i have 225/40/18" & with stock there is no rubbin
shortly im puttin prokit eibach (already waitin for better weather ) and with 1" drop the gap should be round 1"-1,5" = but ill now for sure within a month

i've got 225/40/18 with the tanabe df210 with a 2" drop and no rubbing, check your plastics to make sure they haven't come loose.

The rubbing is all due to the offset of the wheels. What offset is your 18s?

-it is due to the offset, cause I have 225/40/18 and my tires rubbed at stock height. now it's even worse that I dropped it on tein s-techs. My fender plastic actually ripped off, cause I wasn't keeping an eye on it, and it came off at liked 70mph and put a crease in my fender.

going to purchase 225/35/18 this spring, any suggestions a good tire that isn't very expensive. Choices seem limited compared to 225/40/18, 215/40/18, 215/35/18. really don't want to loose the extra width and step down to a 215, but if it's going to save me a good chunk of money, I may have to.

what will be the right offset for the following wheel size

17x7

17x7.5

18x8

18x7

18x7.5

anywhere from 30-40mm, you probably wanna stay around 36-38mm

so back to my question would i get a lot of rubbing and to the guy before my plastics ripped off also going at 70 MPH and my plastics been loose since i try on the blitz bumper also what can i do to secure them cus they literally just broke loose ?????
