How long (hours) does the Mtec H7 bulbs last. For comparing, the stock bulb (Osram longlife (64210L)) last 435 hour.

My MTECs LOW & HIGHS lasted since August 2002... had to replace a single low beam on Thanksgiving of 2003 - but the others haven't given a single problem since installation Although my MTEC were still running strong, without a single incident - I replaced the LOWS for NOKYA just a few days ago so I could grab some photos... https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=1953452255I kept the NOKYA installed and put the box of MTEC in my EMERGENCY KIT (under the trunk where the spare tire is stored) incase a headlight should go out while I'm on a road trip and needed to be replaced

some of the mtecs were just bad, I have a friend that works for a lighting/electronics shop that has said they have a lot of problems with mtecs. Even when installed professionally, some tend to burn out.

I never touched em. i actually wore latex gloves and only opened the package once i was ready to put them in quick. I WISH they didnt burn out so fast cause I really liked the light from them.

mine were installed when the headlight housings were outside the car, so that i could be sure they went straight in and werent touched by anything..but still they blew out over time...maybe hitting a speed bump too hard?

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I have to ask... Polycarb, which Piaa H7 model do you have/did you have on your lows?? Reason I am asking, I recently had a bulb blow a few motnhs ago, the origial M-tec was 6 mths old, roughly. So I bough a new set and saved the extra for a spare Well since Houston is havnig some seriously fucted weather 87 F @ 80% humidty down to 50 F @ 20% humidity, seems like every other week we have a new season. Well I got into my car and .."Shit" the bulb I just replaced went out. So I popped my remaining M-tec, but now I need a set of replacements in case either goes out. I dont like the Nokyas (sp?), not as bright/white as I wanted (my friend has a set), so now I am looking at Piaa, I dont want HID b/c I don't have time to install them at this moment, bulbs are pop - pop done. Choices: Piaa Xtreme @4150K OR Piaa Xtreme Force @4700K, both the same price but I want to know about the color...I do not want deep blue/purple..Anyone...Bueller...Bueller...
