Celica Forums General Discussion Videos, Pictures, and Audio Clips Broke into my car and stole sound system and other goodies

My car was up at NTB and had to stay over night and i told them to put it in side and they were like of cource we will do that. Well i get a call 8:00 am in the morning "sir we can't start your car, and i was like ok just put a new optima yellow top in it..." and they said "sir you have a bigger problem.. someone broke in because they person that close did not move your car inside we need you to come up to say what was stolen..." they took my sub box, amp, cap, radar, head unit, messed up my silver interior accents... broke my dome light (didn't do a good job it still worked)

use my own god damn tools to take some stuff out.. i had screw drivers on the ground.. but 90% of the wires we clipped if your going to steal my shit atleast leave me the wires it took my 2 hours to run so i can just through new subs in there god damn

they will claim 100% responsiability... they already said that. National Tire and Battary = NTB i know a lot of the guys up there and i trust them working on my car... just now don't trust them what they do with the car before/after

I dont trust anyoe to work on my car but myself.. if I do let someone work on it and they say it needs to stay over night. I bring it home then bring it back up there the next day.. lol, Im very cautious about my car.. sorry to hear

i just went up there with everything an the general manager said everything will be paid for and he is giving me a bunch of free stuff... so everything is being set right other than the fact.. it's still a break in

anyway, like spaz said earlier, i believe it's an inside job. if investigation was to happen i would start with the person whom you talked to promising to being your car inside. 2nd, other workers who was working that day. it must have been an inside job or someone from the inside tipped of some outside source. either way since NTB claims everything, i won't worry bout it.

oh and the best part... I have emergency cash worth $500 kept underneath the carpet and it was also gone

well the problem is these guys i trust working on my car.. so all of them know what i got packing the the trunk.. it is very possible it was a set up and i have ideas who set me up... but i can't be too greedy you can see what i used to have.. and this is 5 steps up from what i had, i am actually breaking into compotion subs... so i am happy with what i am getting

that sucks my sisters pos corolla was broken into last week, a week later they tried to get into my car. i heard my alarm go off at 12:30 and someone start running down the street. people like that suck.

the thing is i had a $250/a year for break in's on my insurance plan and i was like i don't need that so i upped it to $1000... and one week later they broke in. just my luck

Hey, i know the feeling...woke up on my 19th birthday to get ready to go to the beach...JUST got my 2 12" alpine type R's put in and had a 1500w mtx thunder mono block amp to power it...nice wires, about 4 gauge runnin from batt. to amp, 12 gauge wires from amp to speakers...took it all. $1500 setup taken after i had it runnin for 3 days...and the worst part, insurance would not claim it. They said that it wasnt bolted permanantly to the frame. took that loss like a champ because i still went to the beach with cardboard stuck in the window.

ya well thanks to who ever broke into my car.. i have to bring my parents durango instead of my jetta to the valintines dance tonight..

make sure you get a police report, bc even after you get the claim from ntb, if ur parts show up, you can get them back... you paid and the thevies were caught and therefore you will get ur parts back, and still be able to keep your "new" parts too...
