ok, so i just got a carbon fiber hood and i want to get my car detailed, if they buff the carbon fiber hood is it going to mess up the clear coat? or will it be fine. if its going to mess up my hood ill switch it back to my stock one for that day.

why don't you ask the detail person?? They just might know.. also I would say if your worried about it messing up the clear coat on the hood, why arn't you worried about the clear coat on the rest of your car??

Carbon Fiber clear is different from the other clear coat on the paint i think.
you don't want scratches in your carbon fiber hood or swirls

would you guys suggest taking it off or just leaving it? maybe ill just leave it on and tell them not to buff the hood. although with how people listen these days god knows they will buff it anyways.
