Guys i need to get a descion soon so i know what to start saving for... I am going away to college in about and year and a half... and as you know i currently own a Jetta 2.0 should i keep this car till it dies (keep modifing it and that sorta stuff) or start saving now and buy an RX-8 (i just love what they come with sporty car with navigation with 4 doors and... its just my kind of car, and i can get one used for 20,000)... i am open for suggestions because i really have no idea

Well, I'd look at how your College expenses will work with getting a car. Are your school expenses already covered?

I'd say (as much as the RX-8 is cool) keep the Jetta, keep moding, it'll be less money in the long run

If there's enough money to cover everything, then I'd say yeah, sink more money into cars. But if there isn't, school should obviously come first. After you're done with school will then be the time to spend again on cars. For the time being, I'd definitely stop sinking money into the Jetta though. You don't really know what your situation will be yet, so I'd just save everything I could. Personally, I'd go with the RX-8. I like 'em.

Keep the jetta, stop modding and concentrate on college. After college get yourself a better car depending on how much money you earn/have left from college.

keep the car and do that, mod=problems in future. or just sell that is and get something better, could pull off a brand new stang 300 hp for about 24k.

when you graduate & get a nice paying job, buy whatever the heck you want wow...i actually agree with caleb for once. don't get me wrong. the "8" is a great car (don't listen to idiots telling you it's under-powered blah blah blah). it's got a 50-50 weight dist., rwd, and with simple breather mods you can 'up' the power real quick. But once you get out of college there will always be better cars out there...save now. go to school. and who knows...mazda might make an rx...9?

^^ you're celica needs premium too..since you drive a gts. and yea, gas is a pain. according to my totally unscientific calculations..i actually 'save' $$ by buying premium for my gts...i put regular in a few times when i was flat out broke and my gas mileage totally sucked
