ok im switching out my lift bolts and one of them has broken off and the piece is stuck in the hole ive tried using magnets but its not working please help

the bolt breaks is half and the bottom gets lodged in the hole

try tweezers? try a vacuum? a stronger magnet?

yeah vacuum might work best..if you got those tools with an extention that's magnetized use that too

u have to tap it out use a bolt extractor you have to its not just sittin in there if you have a warrinty go to toyota if no then go to a machienist idk if ull beable to get urs out mine wouldnt come out

dude were exactly is the lift bolt? you need to get a pix if you need more help, did the bolt break in half and the other half is still were it was before? or did it just fall around were the cam are? pix will help alot celicajonz is that my engine in that pix, if not we have twin engines

if you use a small drill and then a tap for the same size as the dill bit you can get it out that way. just make sure you have rags around where you are drilling and a magnet there too.. just to catch any loose shavings. It seemed to work last time i did it, because my dad helped me and i didn't want to take all the cams off and do it that way. Much easier to do it in like 45 minutes than the 6 hours it might take to do it the "how to" way as posted a long time ago.
