It seemed to come down to Toyota Celica GTS, Ford Focus SVT, or Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V. I'm 90% percent sure I'm getting a celica, but realizing the site address (everythingcelica) I figured that everyone would choose celica, but if so put why you choose the that car over the others, and your welcome to add in a car not mentioned here so long as it's newer than a 97'.

Oh yea I knew I forgot something, I could careless what color or shape my car is in so long as it performs, I am mainly interested in straight perfomance, 0-60 times, 1/4 times etc etc, but handling is another thing I look for in a car, because im the type of person to whip my car around a corner at 40 heh

get a 300zx TT...you can find a nice one with lower mileage on autotrader and they will kill anything you mentioned and Fords suck now! there quality deminished after the 80's. How do i know that, reading journals from my school library I would get the GTS though But performance, Nissan 300zx TT all the way

I agree, i'm all about imports, and I knew how bad ford were on quality and everything but after reading like 10 articles comparing the couple of compaqs SVT almost always came out on top, yea i was looking at a Z but idk though I kinda like having >2 seats plus for around 11k i'd have to get like a 92 or so buu yea that was definitely an option

anything without a turbo, becuase your paying 12 grand for it, which only means problems in the near future, stick with a honda bubble or a celica maybe even an integra.

that looks a lot like my price range back about 2-3 years ago when i was searching for a car. I love my celica. Gets good gas milage will perform when i want it to, and is economical. Plus it looks really nice. Now a few years later with that same price range i would recommend if going celica and you really want a lot of performance, buy a high milage GT. I imagine you can find one that some old guy had who drove long distances to work and back and has 100k miles or so on it. You can probably get it for say 5k? Upgrade internals, lower compression and go for boost, will probably put ya right at 12k after tuning. You will look nice and go fast. Another option previously listed is the 300z TT. Nice car when i car shopping a few years ago they were out of my price range and it is hard to find one in "good" shape as far as paint and interior goes. GTS is a nice car and is one of the fastest NA 4 bangers but with the way technology is going most of the newer cars are now faster

ya man go for the celica GTS...trust me its worth it or get an integra and take the 2 or 3 grand you can save instead of a celica and mod it...but trust me the celica looks a hell of a lot better...and LIFT is insane

if ur more interested in 0-60 and 1/4 miles times ur looking at the wrong types of cars.. you want a V8 a big displacement engine.. get yourself a 5.0 mustang for under 5 grand fix it up and you can be running very good 1/4 miles times for less than the price of a used celica gts

you dont pay 12 grand for a vr4 or a bmw or anycar what will cause you problems, EXPENSIVE PROBLEMS, get a simple car that you can depend on and that you can mod.

Dont buy any of those cars you mentioned...The ficus can get straight line 1/4 times cheaper than the celica will. If you ever wanna hit 13s the celicas not for you.

I don't like the other cars you mentioned. Just get the Celi. Looks sexy & performance isn't all that bad.

I believe the GTS is faster than a Spec-V...what your friends call a "chick car" would beat the car they are recommending for you... Lots of fast, good-looking imports have a reputation for being chick cars...don't let it get to you, just show them up.
