For my 2003 GT (manual), wondering should I change to GTS gearbox with 6-speed manual, or simply stick to my 5-speed and change to TRD clutch + flywheel...

Any ideas, pros and cons?

Flame me if I'm wrong; but I thought I remember reading somewhere that the tq/hp curve of the GT engine would not work well with the gear ratio of the GTS six speed transmission.

clutch and flywheel. The engine's are too different in terms of power, it'll make you slower with a 6 speed

What about the euro gt model. It has a six speed. And since youll hae to swap ecus Im sure it will work fine. more gears equals more fun. hell i wish i had 8.

Not familiar with the Euro GT model...but it seems that the difference is more than just the tranny...which also means that if I simply swap my GT to a 6-speeder without "the other stuff", it no where near the real McCoy...

the gts gearbox isn't geared for the GT.. but if you have a turbo kit on there and are able to rev up to at least 7500 then the 6speed gearbox will help especially with acceleration
