hey guys, is there any way i could stop making the roaches come in the car? On valentine's day, 3 roaches (baby ones) appeared in the car. Scaring the crap out of my date and ended up 1 dead, 1 smashed on the dash (thanks to her), and another escaped.
I mean i have no food in the car and it's not even that old. It was a real damper on the whole valentine's day and I don't want this happening again.
What could be the problem? Also, are there any solutions?

that is a quick way to ruin a date! sorry to hear about that. they do make these things called bug bombs...it is a spray can that you set in your house and when you pull the tab off...the can sprays a pest killer mist untill it is empty. you are supposed to do this in a house and leave the house for a few hours...i dont know why you coulnt just do it in your car, well it might not work...i dont know. if you get the right ones...they have absolutely no smell and make sure you let the car air out a few hours before you drive in it! just a thought!

Maybe they could film the sequel to "Joe's Apartment" in your car, and make "Joe's Celica." Then you'd have all the money you need get rid of the roaches. Seriously, you live in Hawaii; Hawaii's got roaches. Any food left in the car, like crumbs, will attract them. I dunno, just keep the food out, and spray it every now and then, especially around the doors. Or try calling an exterminator; maybe you can get it treated with the same long-acting stuff they use for houses.

Stick some roach motels to the dash board and hang a fly strip from the rear view mirror

Yikes, sounds like no fun, I would say a bug bomb, I think you can sometimes get them at grocery stores. Maybe try calling an extermination company and ask them. We had a cockroach problem in the old apartments I used to live in, the people above us were really nasty and when they left, their cockroaches came to live with us! Took 3 bug bombs to get rid of them. If I remember right, those bombs kinda smelled funny. Just remember, where there's one, there's plenty more, them things multiply like you wouldn't believe. I've never heard of having them in your car though, that's a new one for sure!

O crap, once they are there, they are going to multiply like crazy. I say you call your local exterminator and just ask them about this, see if there are any products that will do the trick. But man...

if you just bought the car last Thursday, my skeptical gut tells me the seller KNEW about the problem, perhaps even sold the car BECAUSE of the problem! I would perhaps make contact with the seller in this regard...
