Interesting link to a Lotus owners board.

Some of their post are interesting, other's rather comical:

Funny how the vocabulary is diffrent. It would piss me off too if Toyota required a $250 1K oil change - inspection and would void the warranty if i did it myself!

Those people are quite educated in terms of typing; such etiquette. Its rather interesting that they do acknowledge the 2ZZ-GE to be a Toyota motor, unlike the others who are living in denial thumbsup

I wouldn't buy a $40,000 car with a 4banger in it. Hence it's fast cause it's so damned light. I'd get something with more of a reputable performance standpoint.

lol a 40,000 4 banger is not buyable? just curious...did you check out any of the specs on it or the handling or zero to sixty?! so if your spending 90,000 would you have to get a V-8? because personally i would take an Acura NSX over a viper and all that other stuff up there in $.

hey I found this post on that site:

darkSol:

"I had a friend that added Nitrous to his 2000 Celica GTS - on slicks he got the car to do 12.6 @ 110 mph... he was getting 232whp and 165wtor. The same Nitrous setup on an Elise would push it into the 11's... probably using LSS tires..."

hmmmm...ok, we haven't heard of this guy doing mid 12's on nitrous. I'm sure Lucky could do it with those numbers, but you'd think he'd show up on at least one of the two Celica forums and maybe on the 1/4 mile times lists.

so a car that pulls 1.03gs, does 0-60 in under 5 seconds, does the 1/4 easily in low 13s and is arguably the best track car outside of an exotic has no balls?

you're a vette or mustang lover aren't you? rofl

Yes this is all true. I'd like to buy something more than a british brand name, and i'd like to expand on whatever $40,000 car i buy.

The Elise is an impressive car. yes i like Corvettes, even before had the chance to drive one that could own basically anything under $80,000. Looks like you guys can't respect someone's opinion.

Plus if you read this months CAR AND DRIVER, you'd see which sports car is the best for all around performance and times. It's no point arguing about this when only a select few aren't so full of shit their eyes are brown.
