Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Change daytime running lights?

i dont want to actually disable my daytime lights. am i able to change the light to white? i just never heard if you can or not. the yellow color is

I was in the same boat as u. I went out and got piaa extramwhites for highbeams (thats what the drl's are just at low power) But the damn things are still yellow. I think becsaue they cant get hot enough or something, they cant get to their nice white color. U could get spark blues but i dont knwo if its for $90 to you Prettymuch dont waste your money like me and jsut try to ignore them.

Just venting, but what pissed me off more was i have OEM HID housing so i had to completely remove the headlight housing which took forever, and the bitches were still yellow

The DRL utilize the same bulb as the High beams (9005), just at a lower wattage. As far as I can tell, it's impossible to achieve a bright white DRL without blinding people.

its impossible to make the DRL's white, believe me, I was upset about this discovery too.
