Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior ANYONE HAVE KAZUMA EXHAUST?

I need to know some ways to get by with the system without the 5-0 getin all over you. Im thinkin about getting flanges installed so i can bolt on my cat whenever i want.

You don't have a cat? That could be a problem. I don't think a cat though will reduce the noise. Do you have a silencer? Don't be obnoxious with it. You should be ok. You shouldn't have go this loud exhaust if you are worried about getting in trouble with it. And you should have done some research on how to muffle the sound if you are worried about getting in trouble cause of the noise. Good luck with emissions.

Ive heard from a few people that being able to bold on a cat will allow you to pass emmissions tests. I want to make it a little quieter. The system basically replaces the cat with a strait pipe. What im going to do is install flanges where the cat would be, and that will allow me to install my cat easily when im goin to do emissions tests. All they look at is if you have a muffler/or resonator and a cat. Ive heard that the cat will quiet it down quite a bit. I want to get silencers as well, but im having a hard time finding one.

Whats the difference between the TRD exhaust and the TRD kazuma exhaust?

They call it the TRD Kazuma exhaust because TRD makes it. The kazuma exhaust is not street legal (I think in only some states). It is very load and used for mainly racing.

Yeah, i've heard that one before and just about every vid on the internet of the Kazuma. Yeah, it does sound very nice. I used to want it and still kind of do, but I think it would just be too loud for around here.
