just wanted to share that I finally got my Invidia Cat-back exhaust installed. I Also got my AEM intake installed.
When I got the exhaust in I wondered what the 'coat-hanger' was for, When I got under the car I found out pretty soon. The mounting point for the original silencer cannot be used, it is to far away. A new mounting point is created with the 'coat-hanger' and the mounting points for the heat-shield (at least I think it is a heat-shield).
Anyway, enjoy. Got a very good price for painting my kaminari kit, gotta wait till my TRD-wing comes in. getting it painted all for a total of 350 usd
Since this exhaust is not in the list for the exhausts' topic, I didn't know wether to put it there
Car: 2000 Celica GT Price 420 USD @ www.autosportz.com [autosportz.com] (paid about 350 f*cking usd for shipping it ) Ease of install, well very easy, the hardest part is getting the original exhaust from its rubbers. Sound: perfect, just what I wanted, it has a silencer which makes the sound on the outside the same, but quieter in the car. Performance gains, it's an almost straight exhaust. I also installed my AEM intake with it, so hard to say about the gains specific for this exhaust, but I do have more power in the 4000 - 6800 rpm.
That looks sweet. Got any clips, how does the power feel. I think its a great design, and you will get some nice gains out of it.
Working on clips, at the mo I only got my mp3-player to record some sound, will try to get a friend's DV-camera though. No dyno-run yet, since there aren't many companies here doing that
why did it come with the extra coat hanger ??? did you have to drill extra holes in that spot?? or was it simple bolt on?? how loud is it? does it compare to the Tanabe Super Racing Spec???

If you look at the pictures closely and read the text it is for creating a new mounting point. It is a direct bolt-on to the mount points for the heat shield.
I have no idea how to explain how loud it is, but it is LOUD, street legal tho. Here in the netherlands we can only get Remus/Sebring/Laser exhausts in 'regular' car-shops, so I have no idea what the Tanabe Super Racing Spec sounds like, sorry.
If you don't mind me asking, did you pay to get that installed and if so how much? I know I'm gonna get an exhaust but I'm not sure if I'll be able to install it mnyself or not

I paid 10 euros for installing it 15 euros for the CAI.
That made me decide not to do it myself, You really want to get underneath your car, so you need a bridge. If you need to rent it, it'll cost 10 euros.
If it were 50 euro's I'd have done it myself though.

It's not really hard to install an exhaust. I installed my TSRM myself. At first, I thought that it would be really hard but it wasn't. The only part that gave me a hard time was taking out the hangers from the rubber mounts.

Bare in mind though that the bolts used to mount the rear part of the exhaust will have some kind of ring on it which might prevent you from being able to tighten the bolts as far as you'd like. The mechanic at my garage had to take of the rings on the bolts.

Did a decent run yesterday, I can feel the power gain from the intake and exhaust pretty good. I don't know how long it takes the ECU to 'learn' the new intake and exhaust, but it looks like it got it now

Hey IMMO, when you installed it, did you have to remove the catalytic converter? We have have the same year and model, and I don't see it in your pictures.
