seeing as the original post with the sound was deleted, im posting it up again...
heres the audio clip, but is makes it sound more ricy since it was done with a computer mic and it destorted. the comp mic also dosent give you the low end to it, so it's incomplete, but at least it's up.

i'll probably get a new one when i get a silencer for it, that or i'll take it off and sand it down and make it nice and shiny again.

I'm just gonna take off the bracket and clean it up, make it nice and shiny again. here's smaller pics, but i cant delete the big ones...

Hhhmmm...sounds a little raspy if you ask me, but like you mentioned it might just be the recording.
