I went to AC Moore, Pep Boys, and a few other hooby shops. i cant find Acetate anywhere. So now i resort to the internet to buy it. but i found

to change the color of the ac/heater controls is easier if you just go to an electronics store (like radioshack) and purchase colored rubber covers for the stock clear bulbs. there are 3 you need to change. i did it in 5 minutes with a small phillips screwdriver.

no paint was necessary.

Try a music store that sells lighting equipment..like guitar center. Or a dedicated photo store. It's commonly used for lighting.

is there a size you need to get for the small rubber covers??

i don't remember a size but you can just take off the center console and pry one off.
