Ok I ordered a Lambo Doors kit (JtAutoStyle Evo doors www.jtautostyle.com [jtautostyle.com] )

Until this morning I was pretty happy grin, but now I spoke with one of my friend that work at a Nissan dealer (his a mechanic) and he told me that the worst thing I can do too my cars is too put some lambo doors...

He told me that there a 350z who put a kit and the have to change his doors trim cause the way the doors open... broke the door trim (door panel)...

confused Is this true... ???????
confused Is this ever happen to you ???

He also told me that those kit are extremely hard too install !

confused How long does it take ?
confused How hard it is ???

confused Do you have any regret about your kit ????

Thanks everyone too light me up !!! wave

by the way here a pics of the kit :

I have that kit, but i havnt installed it yet due to the same questions. When i went to my body shop they tolod me i was crazy to do that due to door hitting the fender issue's. But im still thinkin of doing it. Its pretty ez to do really. Just take off your front bumper and remove both fenders (use a breaker bar) and go from there. From my tlakin with Voodoo he loves his and they are flawless but who knows. If your looking for some I can sell you mine maybe? I'll let them go for 775 shipped. Lemme know.

If know one buys them i'll prob just put them on

Hey what's up guys, I had this kit for almost about a year now and havent had a problem yet. I have no problem getting in or out and I don't regret on getting them. I really like it, it's a nice show mod.

I never installed the jt evo kit, i actully had jt install it and it took them about 3-5 hours.

from what I've read they come with wiring extentions, but you don't really need them.. people are probably getting the hitting the fender thing from people not installing them right. you have to modify the fender to get the hinges to fit because they tuck behind it and if you notice there is metal sticking out on the inside of the fender that will be in the way your supposed to bend that over so the hinges will fit. celicaGTS2000 is it harder to align a door and get it to fit right on lambo hinges than on regular hinges or is it about the same difficulty as if you were replacing the door or the hinges regular?

no lambo hinges are hard because it is not realy a true fit with the regular hinges is realy eazy cause there is no sag in the door and the pacemant of the hingerare closer and smaller together. you are right about the finder to you do half to cut and roll it back i did not half to use any extention wire the stock one work fine.

ok, i have the lambo door kit as you probably know. i got it from carexcess.com
its a decah lambo door kit and a local shop near me ordered it for me. i also have the trd kit and have no problems with it hitting the side skirts. when installing it you need to take the front bumper and fenders off. when the fenders are off, you need to cut off a piece of the fender on the inside (the part closest to the hinge). i did not have to roll the inside of the fender, only cut. if the door hits anything or is too low or high so it doesnt line up then you can adjust it with the alan screw that is attached to the hinge. so far i have had no problems with the hinges or shocks and have had them for almost a year. everything fits perfectly and once in a while requires some adjusting of the alan screw because the screw loosens and the door wont line up correctly. after a while and after you break in the hinge, this will happen less and less. remember, different people have different company kits and some will have different fitment, but what i have is a decah kit and wrote about my experiences with only this kit. tonight around 10pm i will post pics of the exact piece that requires cutting and the location of the alan screw to adjust for proper fitment. heres a pic of how it turned out.

ok, im not gonna lie, it is harder to get in and out of than a normal door. im pretty small and can get out even without lifting up the door. not everyone can do this, but not everyone can get in and out with the door up either. after a while i got used to it and so now its not a big deal anymore. if your having trouble getting out of your bucket seats now then its prob not a good idea to get the doors. im not saying its impossible if anyone is a big guy, but you will prob hate it after a while if you really have trouble getting out. i would only get it if your into the show scene and go to shows alot.
