Celica Forums General Discussion General Gauge Display LEDs - GRRRR

I'm just pissed off...no one here in AZ will replace them for me with blue ones...too much liability they say. Not even a damn import shop! I know one of the members on here mentioned he'd do it if I sent him everything, but I can't drive without it LOL...or can I? I never pay attention to the speedometer, and if I fill up the gas tank every 3 days or so depending on where I drive to, I should be ok, no?

Do it yourself Its no that hard I havent done mine but im planning on doing it soon, andI have no idea If you can drive without the cluster I think you can Im not sure though

I would love to do it myself, but I'm not experienced in soldering tiny little LED's like this and I am afraid I'd screw up my circuit board.

im with you on that i would rather have a very experienced person do a job like that for me too but i havent checked into it around here yet

How experienced are you and how long would it take ya? I'm picking up a Carbon Fiber hood near LA (Northridge I believe) this Saturday. I'm driving over. I just gotta be sure it's not gonna get messed up because if I gotta buy a new circuit board it's gonna cost me $450, I just got a quote on it.

I solder for the first time and i did my gauge LEDs. Its really easy.

i was going to do it myslef but had brazil1 do it for me whiel wathcing him it didnt seem to difficult but i still wont do it myself

Well a guy on here said he'd do mine for me...but the post got lost when the DB crashed a while back. I believe he's in the marines or something...anyone know him? I'm going to try calling a few places today, computer repair shops etc to see if they'd do it.

i recommend a electronic shop, that deals with circuit boards..

i;ve done those LEDS in my car... and a bunch of other LEDS too... but i'm not gonna be home this weekend... going to palm springs.

Yeah its not hard to solder. I have taken Electronics for two years and could do it. There is a guide I believe somewhere or google " how to solder" Should give you some info.
