I've always thought about putting a radar detector in it, you would need some electrical experience though b/c you would have to have the actual "detector" exposed so it can see outside

That clock is like $400 in the Celica parts catalog as listed on this website.

are you sure that the clock is blown? coz once my clock went dead and it was only a fuse that had top be fixed. is the little inside liught blown? coz they use the same fuse and if they are both gone, chances are its just a blown fuse...

hmmm...I didnt even think to check the fuse...doh...though it burned the one for the alarm at the same time

I dont really want the OEM clock back in there anyway so not am I only removing the green numbers but also the passenger seat belt light. I wanted something different the Toyota badge from the rear of the car fits nicely...maybe I could put a couple of LEDs behind it...and maybe when I have something worth monitoring I could put some digital guadge in there

another question anyone else have two loose wires behind the clock...they had red covered male and female connects on them(hooking them together burned the clock...oops)

LOL Pez despencer would be great...and it would be cool to mold a radar detector in there

get an AXAS shift indicator, I have one of those, and it's skinny enough to fit perfectly, has four bright LED's that light sequentially between two RPM levels you dial in. RSVersion is selling them for $78 + shipping. that's where I got mine...

The light module is about the size of a 9-volt battery, and the controller is about the size of a pack of cigarettes.
The clock hole is big enough that you could put the shift light and controller together in there, side by side. would look sweet.

Otherwise, I'd add a carbon fiber fill plate, and make holes for engine start button, maybe some swithces for other systems in the car.

Put in a line of LEDs that light up in sequence back and forth, just like KITT in Knight Rider. LMAO that would be SO gay.
