i've been told that since the celica isn't being made anymore, dealerships aren't getting anymore in, that they are going to be rising in value, and i'm wondering if this is true. the dealerships around me are trying to buy them back and hold on to them for a while, and eventually sell them at a higher price than when i originally bought the car(mind you i bought it used for 14200). anyone with any info on this?

The discontinued Celica is a rumor. The new 2005 Celica is out. The dealers say that was a crazy rumor.

yeah buddy. you might want to brush up on your homework. 2005 is the last year, not 2004. Atleast thats what i heard last from the dealership. thumbsup

not sure why they would do this its been going on 35 yrs strong, and is a beautiful and affordable car, you can get an 04 GT for about $18,100.

The Celica will never become a classic and appreciate in value. Way too many made; and it's a front drive Toyota for Christ's sake, not a Ferrari!

^^ thank you.

the discontinuation means the celica will lose it's value more SLOWLY than if a new model were to come out. but it will continue to lose value.

think honda prelude, except a little less. (hondas keep their value longer than toyotas)
