I was planning on getting the Hotchkis Complete TVS which is about $2319..it comes with:

: coilover kit, coil springs, swaybar kit, front camber plates/strut brace, and rear camber links

Is this really necessary for around 275whp (Stage 2 at 14psi c2power turbo)? Is there anything i don't need or am i missing anything..

Also, i am getting SSBC big break kit(12" for front) but would it be wise to convert the rear (another app. $770)? I was thinking since i need 17" rims, how it would look. Thanks for any help.

Man, you do not want to be running a stage 2 turbo kit on stock suspension, the TVS kit will dramaticly improve handling and keep your car stable durring high speeds (no more floating feeling) plus cant that hotchkis package make celicas pull like 1.4 on the skidpad?? thats incredible. plus breaks are a must too, because when you hit boost in 1st gear your car will launch forward, and ive had a couple close calls were people have suddenly braked in front of me and I barely had enough time to stop, I have TRD pads and Brembo rotors and it still locked up on me, I am disatisfied with my stopping power, and I want to upgrade to a bigbrake kit.

But yeah man if your going hard core with the engine you gotta get the rest of your car up to speed and those kits sound like the way to do it

Custom turbo....Jealous Much??

yeah you need to go big brakes if you wanna go turbo. especially the front. I won't worry bout the rear brakes so much. Also, don't forget clutch upgrade.

i was going to do the rear for looks as well since i didn't think it would look good since you will be able to see my breaks when i get the Motegi FF5 17" rims. It would help stopping too...thanks Pnoy! I already ordered the RPS 6-Puck Sprung Clutch and the Fidanza lightweight flywheel. I have also ordered a couple other things and when Bing from C2Power emails me, i am going to be buying their LSD smile I got a B&M shortshifter yesterday as well smile I am pumped, hopefully have the Stage 2 up and running by mid may!

how bout internal upgrades? got them yet? you better have those rod, pistons, valve springs and etc ready. you might want to do the install at once to save you on the cost. Damn.. that should be nearly around 10g for stage 2.

yeah, i am going to be getting the internals and stuff when i get the turbo and have all installed at once...it will run more than 10k since you have to take in install cost and shipping and lsd which is about 1k plus other saftey stuff like big breaks (need tires and rims), excellent suspension...it is going to be a lot lol

in that case i'd trade in my car and get a faster car. just my opinion, i'm not discouraging you. putting up a load of money for a car that's not designed or guaranteed to handle such power power isn't worth. we all know that celica is a good looking car, and maybe now is the time for you to decided if you wanna go the high boosting power direction or just looks for show car. turbo is nice, but to much of it will kill you.

i'd be happy with a stg1 turbo setup that can safely boost up to 8psi. but hey it's your money and not mine. wink

lol, i know what you are saying. Gas has been on stg 2+ for 3 years and really hasn't had any problems (except when he took the rev limiter off and reved a lot in the red and blew something but i dont' plan on doing that lol)...i will keep it safely boosted at 12psi and once in a while put it up to 14 for a little race...i dont' want to kill my car or me smile

Imo, go with the hotchkis sways and camber links. Instead of the hotchkis springs, go with tein ss coil-over adjustable spring/shock combo. The camber plates aren't really neccessary, and the hotchkis front strut bar is pretty weak, go with apr or carbing. Also try the C-one, hypermotive, or TRD rear upper strut bar, and hotchkis end links.
