Have a white 2001 Celica, and I want to remove the side molding but I am worried about there being a color difference where the molding was...What do you guys think?

I didn't know celicas could come with side molding your car is 4 years old so usually there would be a color difference from oxidization, but since your car's white, I don't think you'll see much difference.

I have the same ugly moldings on my GTS, I did a search, with no results. I'm going to have to have a body shop do it...I guess!

they are there for a reason...however if you want to take them off...go right ahead..i believe the color difference wouldn't be that noticeable.

The side molding is ugly as shit dude...I dont know about you, but I dont like it...Makes the car look like a grama car...Like it when the car has a smooth look to it... Compare these two images...The sig I have removed the moldings and pinstrip in photoshop. Looks sooo much better. With molding: Without molding:

I've never seen those moldings on a celica before... and I agree, they're ugly as hell! I would definitly take them off! Just do a poilsh and wax after you're done, you won't be able to see the difference!

how are the moldings mounted on the car? i know on some cars if you take off the moldings you have to fill the holes and repaint
