Ive tried it all but the eyelids wont stick and not to mention all the cash I've waisted in the past few days to make them stick. At first I tried the original mounting tape it came with but after a day of usage it started coming off. Then I tried a similar mounting tape to the original but a little bit wider/thicker and supposedly the strongest one they had in AutoZone but that didnt even last a couple of minutes. I even tried dual lock Velcro, I have to admit that it held on like a bitch but it looks stupid cause the heavy duty Velcro doesnt let the eyelids sit flush on the headlight, looks kinda gay. Next I was going to try adhesive but that means its going to be permanent and Im not sure if Im looking for the eyelids to be permanent. I guess adhesive is going to be my last choice if I cant find any other way to make it stick. I was even thinking about making a strap for them that would basically strap them to the headlight but before I get creative does anyone have any suggestions of what to use.

I was thinking about super glue but the only thing about super glue is that it drips and as soon as it touches plastic it starts burning it and making it dull looking. I had a bad experience with super glue when I tried using it to mount my 3rd brake cover. Plus, that also means its going to be permanent but thanks for the suggestion. I will consider it. Anyone else???

did you wipe down the headlight with rubbing alchohol. seems liek you ahve a wax or somehtign on ur headlights. thats all i can think. i woudl wash ur headligths good with dishwashing soap. the wipe the bitches down with rubbing alchohol. Then use the maonting thape, btu when you do, 1st use a hairdryer to ehat up the area its ong to sticlk to on the headlight. The use the hairdryer to heat up the tape ont eh eyelids and quickly put them on while still hot. press firmly and hold for a few min. now loet it sit for an hour in a cool place. now you shoudl be good. there is also adhesive promoter stuff, the stuff they use for the dashes. coudl try that 1st then put the tape on. If all of this doesnt wor then i dont knwo what to tell you i am jsut jealous becasue i cant get them for ym headlights

I FRIGGIN KNEW IT!! The very day Isaac added the lids to the Celistore I remarked that the thin front edge looked like it might have adhering problems...what a hassle that after spending a couple hundred $$, the consumer has to try various other methods to make the product usable... WTF???

WTF??? Yeap, thats exactly where the problem lies, in the edge/front. Regardless, I still luv the way the eyelids look and I wouldn't trade them for the world. I will find a way to make them work.

Didn't really think about silicone glue til now. Do you really think it would hold?

I would try the 3M tape first, but if it still does'nt work, could it be the fitment of the eyelids themselves?

It was on for like a day the first time and it looked AWESOME but by the next day it started rising little by little in the front. So, I decided to take it off before it would fly off or someone would notice it and pull it of. It could also be cause its been raining like a bitch for the past week.

from the thread: https://celicahobby.com/ubbthreads/thread.f0_1953551758_0_collapsed_5_365_1.html#1953551758after being only attached to my car for LESS than 6 hours... they were a bitch to remove - it took about 20 minutes each side to take off... the 3M tape made it extremely difficult to remove these eyelids actually had 4 people (SpeedDucky & Rainy, Heat and myself) trying to remove them... and this is all while the car was parked in the sun for the show - so you can imaging how difficult it would be to remove if the temperature was less than 90d outside I can say there was no problems with them sticking the only thing I can think of is that it may have been just a bad piece of tape on the ones you received. Track down the 3M tape that stuff works great I used it on my eyelids on the VW Golf I used to own.

The 3M tape from Home Depot works! Use the one that says Outdoors and should be strongest hold. It is holding up my Eyelids great. The f*cker is snug on there. I tried pulling on it and it won't even budge.
