my passenger seat is stuck as far back as it can go. It won't move at all, and its a little twisted. I have no idea how it happened... I tried to take the seat out, but I can't get at all the bolts with the tools I have. Has this happened to anyone ever, and if so, how'd you fix it.

Much appreciated, I REALLY don't want this to cost me...

ok first of all, when you pull the lever to adjust the seat forward and back you are really pulling teeth attached to the seat out of grooves attached to the rails bolted to the car.

so when you pull your lever do you feel resistance? can you hear the teeth pulling out. if not the mechanism on the seat is shot.

if you feel resistance and the seat wont go forward there can be a few things wrong. one - the rail is twisted and must be straight for the sliding mechanism to work. two dirt has gotten down the front of the rail attached to the car preventing the seat coming forward in which case use a light to see down the rail and remove the obstruction.

this might sound a little obvious but its all i can think of
