Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance 7th gen engines

this guy on cardomain.com said that 7th gen Celicas cant handle much performance modding...is that true?

Just read through the forums, there is all kinds of mods to be done.

it's not that they cant handle it, it's that it's a complicated engine and there isnt many mods made for it.

but that is slowly starting to change as companies are seeing that we are willing to buy them if they are worth while.

people also said celicas wouldnt ever see 13 seconds N/A but thats been done. they also say 12's will never be done and I fully expect to be exterminating that myth as well in the very near future

My teamate is also workin ona 500+ whp 2zz setup which has been said cant be done as well lol it just takes time and crazy people like us to proove it can be done.

After seeing that dude from Brampton do 8 seconds & get 1000HP from his B16 (1.6L) Honda hatch back, anything is possible.

u ever read about the 1000 hp celica?? it may be a dif engine, but its said w/ right tuning(and lots of money) its capable to put out a good 800 hp from the 2zz.

workin on Celicas is not tuning.. its an art

if you count v8's 1 of the NHRA celicas is pushin 8,000 hp lol

yeah I think i read it was a 4 runner engine or something along those lines that was swapped into a celica... but i could be wrong

with that engine swap... wouldnt that fuck up the balance of the car due to a heavier engine and cause the handling to be shitty?
