Hey I just installed the injen short ram intake. I was wondering if having the heat shield helps prevent hydrolock? I read a SRI is almost impossiable to hydrolock, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks

you dont need it since the filter is in a safe spot. No water will get on it

yea no heatshielf for water protection, but heatshield for heat portection is good deff would sugest you get one  they also look kick ass
