I was just getting my car ready for the spring season and I've noticed when i was changing my oil that when I started my car a gave it some gas smoke and oil was spitting out through my exhaust... And seems to be burning the oil faster...
any ideas on how to fix this???

It was in storage all winter? How many miles have you put on it since you took it out of storage?
Its not abnormal if the car is sitting to have it smoke when you first fire it up, its usually the result of oil seeping from the top end through the lifters & onto the pistons. Harmless really.
If it keeps smoking its likely to be stuck rings, a common problem in Celica motors & it would be aggrevated by storing it. Despite all kinds different products, I never did get the rings unstuck. The rings get a gummed up & stick inside their grooves on the piston & fail to seal the cylinder walls.
Another possibility may be the vacuum going from the top end of your motor to your intake, it could be sucking in oil.

Now it makes a rattling sound when i'm in park, so i'm thinking its the pistons making the sound from my engine. And for the smoke...Its been sitting in storage all winter, but it was happening even before it was in storage, i think it would have to do with the cold air intake taking in water...
Any ideas on fixing the problems??

It it was partially hydrolocked, it may be bent connecting rods, bent rings, who knows. The end result is the same anyhow, engine replacement. Do a compression test & see where your at.

I just read lucky's post and now i'm quite terrified... So i'll do a compression check on my car as soon as I get back from school...
Anyone know on whats a good range to have???
Or What kind of insurance covers it??
