Well im planning on finally buying myself a clutch...after almost a year with it slipping. Well i was looking at the toyotaworld.com site and they have the TRD USA and the TRD Japan clutch. The Japan one has 2 seperate parts and the USA it says "kit?" So which one is better and also what do i do with my flywheel...ive heard of resurfacing the flywheel but im confused? Also is there any other sites with a cheaper proce than $340ish for a clutch?

dont get the trd usa, i've used both on my car the TRD USA and the TRD JAPAN
the trd japan blows the usa out of the water, dont be cheap and get the usa spend the extra dough and get the japan you wont be unhappy.

Hey guys i have the same problem. My clutch is out to the point where id b in the freeway and hitting 2k rpm if i pressed the gas a bit too much it would just rev with out gripping. I ordered the exedy stage 2 but i was wondering if it effected my flywheel driving it like that. And if so what would i be able to do about it??? ps. Dont mean to take ur thread batman just tryin to get more info

You don't need to get both, you could just get a new disc as long as the plate is still in good shape, you will just need to get the plate and flywheel resurfaced before installing the new disc. But it'd be better to just get a new and better plate along with the disc, so yeah you should get both, also look into getting a new flywheel while your at it too if you got the money because while the tranny is out you might as well upgrade what you can instead of having to do it over again later. I got the Stagge 2 exedy, its great, it really bites hard but not too harsh like a racing 6puck so its good for daily driving.
JST2GTBY: It shouldn't hurt the flywheel, its just best to get the new clutch asap.

your clutch is going out. i had that with my nissan right before i got my celi.
i ended up losing first and second gear all together because the master cylinder blew out.
ended up costing me 500 good ones for a tranny rebuild
