Now there's been a lot of talk about the TRD s\c not fitting in the celica due to hood clearance. So i was thinkin about getting a custom hood to make clearance, does anyone know where i can get one around the san francisco area? thanks. rice

satoshi posted some pics of a GT with the TRD supercharger, it had a custom bulge molded into the hood to accomidate it. Definitely looked interesting, but it didn't seem to flow well with the body lines. the cowl would need to be seriously raised to accomidate it.

If you want to see it, here's the link, satoshi's friend, Yuu has a silver Celica GT w/supercharger setup:

the blitz supercharger is for the GTS and isn't really released yet...and it will fit under a stock hood...

the TRD supercharger is for the 1ZZ engine which is on a GT Celica...but will not fit a GT Celica due to hood clearance issues...and in Japan, someone did put it on and modded the hood and it was a HUGE lump...there is no possible way to make a fairly decent looking hood to cover it up.

yes, it's decent looking, but you're not going to see shit out of the window.

I talked to a rep at the trd parts hq and he said that the sc only comes up about 3 inches. The one satosi showed looked like 1) a blitz supercharger 2)was like six inches out of the hood. I think if what the guy says is true it might be possible to cover up three inches of the supercharger. I dunno.
