sup guys my car turned off on me twice at different days while i was coming to a stop while i had the clutch in. My CEL was on for those times it went off on me and today the CEL went away for some reason. ever happend to any of you guys

Nope. And don't have a clue why it would do it. Sounds kinda like it could be a problem with your fuel.

Thats happened to me like 2 times..i was cruising and then all the sudden everything just died...worse part was it was at night..so i was drifting down the higway with no lights and no power...but it turned it self back on like 5 seconds later...

yeah, had aftermarket intake, and I'm sure lean code p0171, been ahwile so don't quite remember.

yah happened to me once.. as soon as i put it in neutral.. i was turning into a street.. and all of a sudden noticed because it got really hard to turn the wheel all of a sudden haha... no clue why tho

gonna say it has sumthin to do with your intake. I had a CAI installed last summer and the same thing happened to me when i was turning in front of traffic...thatll sure scare the crap outta ya.

hey, mine 04 celica did that too, it was the Vacumm Switching Purge Valve (the one in engine bay, not next to the gas tank). They don't have it sell at any auto parts, they only have the one down by the gas tank. The toyota dealer will order it from japan. costs about $100

im having the same problem i have 2 code evap emission system leak and running lean (idk the code numbers rn) and i also have a cold air intake so im pretty sure that valve is the one you delete. have a feeling has to do with the charcoal canister and purge flow valve but not too sure. anyone else know anything about it?
