I just purchased a TRD exhaust that was taken off a car. I'm not sure if it comes with any hardware but all i got was the muffler system (no rubber for the hangers or bolts). I installed the exhaust with the stock rubber hangers and the tip rested right against the bumper. I gently nudged the tip down and the tip rested about 1/8 of an inch from the exhaust hole in the bumper. I drove to work (30 minute drive) and when i got there the exhaust had moved back against the bumper and burned a quarter size hole into it angry. Is there any way I can adjust the exhaust/hangers/bolts to make the exhaust tip sit correctly in the hole and not burn anything else?

ok well i did some research and found out that the trd exhaust comes with new nuts and washers. I figure the washers are my problem. Where do the washers go and does anyone know a size they might be. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

you can use your stock hardwares (rubber, nuts and bolts). however, TRD exuahst is 2 piece. Hence the extra nuts, bolts, and washers that connects the tip to the resonator.

ahhh..yes. But for some reason my tip is a little less than a 1/8th of an inch from my bumper, it's a lot better than it was before but from the pics i've seen of other peoples TRD's it looks like there is a half inch of space between the tip and the bumper.

I had to use a wire to pull mine up because it was lower then I wanted (hence the tow truck drive scraped it when the motor blew) there is like a 1/2in gap now.

Lets hope that you got the right exhaust. I am assuming by your screen nmae that you have a GTS, if you have the TRD body kit you better check the part number on the exhaust.

With the TRD body kit or rear bumper you would need a Part Number of 00602-17500-008, which is the Extended version of the TRD exhaust for use with the TRD Body kit(ACTION PKG)

If your part number is 00602-17500-006 then you have the wrong exhaust.

I don't have the trd kit, it's the standard length, i guess i just have to adjust my rubber hangers somehow.

All you have to do is adjust the rubber hangers by putting spacers or washers where needed to get the tip centered in the opening.

Just adjust the actual metal hangers. Use a vice to bend them to your liking.
