hi i got a celica vvti 1.8,140 bhp . I bought the car few months back , just from a few days i am noticing that whenever i start the engine when it is cold , the engine revs itself to 2 rpm and once when the engine gets warm it falls down to normal 1rpm on the dash board so please can one let me know why is this happening ???

This is common and nothing to worry about. It's a temperature choke that operates for cold engines in the morning. Once the engine gets to
operating temperature, the cold choke valve will release and bring your rpm's down, meaning it's ready to operate.

You technically shouldn't drive your car until it reaches operating temperature. It's not a huge deal in warm weather, but in the winter you should definitely let it warm up before driving it.
