Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Need some ideas for my 2000 GT

I have black 2000 gt and I'm looking at buying a body kit and spoiler for it. I've been looking and I cant really decide on what to buy. I want something nice but not too expensive. I was looking more to the trd body kit styles. This is going to be my first project. So I want to start on the exterior then the interior and on down the road the motor. And I wondering what anyone's thoughts are to what I should do?

I would do engine and suspension first Body kits are sort of high maintenance. I had a full kit on my 240sx and it looked good but when you wash it there were so many details. Plus ground clearance becomes an issue and everyone will want to race for no reason regardless of whether or not you instigate it.

But if your going to go outside first I would stick with TRD. I don't have a kit on my car but I would assume that a kit from Toyota would be much easier to install than one from another manufacturer. You could also try to go for a front splitter, I have seen a couple of cars that have them and they look nice.

For DIY and easy mods, I would:
Add a nice set of rims would be good. 18's look sick on Celica.
You could also lower the suspension. Mine has been lowered an inch and a quarter.
Next you could paint the calipers. I find red stands out the best on a black car.
You could also tint your windows. Most people go with around 15% visibility
