I recently purchased a 2000 Celica GTS. When I test drove it I didn't want to push the engine, so I never hit engine lift. I purchased it anyways because it drove good and body was pretty clean. I registered the car and drove it to work.
Engine
I tried to hit lift but lost power when I hit lift rpm, so I slowed down went speed limit. When I was about to get to the exit I tried to hit lift again and it hit lift. Pulled pretty good and hard on lift. Got to work and parked the car. I came home after work and tried to hit lift again and same results lost power as it hit lift rpm. Any suggestion on why it is doing that? It is fully stock with 114,XXX miles. Engine is leaking oil from valve cover and maybe oil pan. Smoke everywhere.
Transmission
Has chattering noise when cruising in 5th and 6th gear at low rpm. When I give it gas on 5th gear at low rpm I hear loud chattering noise, same as with 6th. Any suggestions on why it chatters?
