Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance Power FC 03+

My understanding is that 03 and up Celicas do not work with the Power FC. Is there an alternative option, or a way to circumvent this incompatibility? If not, is there anything coming up on the horizon that will give later model Celicas similar performance/tuning capabilities?

the power fc DOES NOT work with 03-05 celicas.

the only way to get around it and make the power fc work is to convert to a 2000-2002 throttle cable setup. it's quite lengthy and expensive.

the E-Manage works for 03-05 correct?

but the 03 gt has the throttle cable, not the drive by wire, so wouldnt it work then??

I think it is that some of the 03's have dbw and some dont.

so if a gt has throttle cable, it should work right??

yeah the GT's do not have DBW. so yes the power fc will work. however nobody has done an N/A version of the GT with power fc so nobody really knows what kinda gains/benefits you'll get.

MWR did a base map and gained like 7whp. but if it's anything like the GTS base map you can get quite a few more with fine tuning.

All GT models do not have DBW?

none of the 02 and under models have them, then after 03, it gets more confuzing, i forget which ones have them and which ones dont, the 03 gt, i know has the throttle!

2002 and under, GT or GTS = no Drive By Wire
2003 and up, GT has throttle cable, GTS has Drive By Wire

yup, GT's don't have DBW in any year. Wh they decided to screw with the GTS is beyond me.

so can i put the e-manage in my 2004 GTS?

I guess. I dunno mch about how well it works. I'd say don't waste the money.

N/A = "Naturally Aspirated"

Generally it means, not turbocharged, not supercharged, and not using nitrous oxide (NOS).
