I bought my 02’ celica gts just over a year ago, but unfortunately its an automatic. I have been wanting a manual for a while. I figure the chasis and body are the same for the auto and the manual. I have seen a bunch of posts in here about swaping it to a manual and most people say it would be better to sell the auto and get a manual. But the thing is, I have already pit a lot of money inti this car. My dad and I spent over 70 hours painting the car and ive put alot of moneh into a stereo in the car. I know of lots of manual celicas in my area that are being sold for parts or are in a junk yard. My friend blew up his car and kept the harness and the ecu and everything, the trans is trash though. I would only have to buy the trans. So what do you guys think, what are the challenges that i might encounter?
