Celica Forums General Discussion Interior 2001 toyota celica gts weird accelerations

When press on the gas pedal at first the car accelerate fine. However, when i released the gas and repress on the gas pedal to accelerate the car the car rpm doesn't want to move until i pressed a little harder. When i pressed a little harder the rpm jump up really high for 2 seconds and then come back down. I don't know whats wrong with it.

automatic or manual

Its an automatic. I also brought new mafs sensor from ebay. So i dont think its the mafs sensor.

do a vacuum leak test the intake manifold gasket go bad over time

also if you have the oem intake look for any tears in it

I do not have oem air intake. I have injen cold air intake.
