body kits are real nice and all, but with the added spoiler and the celicas sporty look, i think body kits make the celica HELLA ricey. im not sayin their bad, but i just think body kits make cars in general look ricey. its kinda a typical sterotype in american society, when you see that lowered car with the body kit and loud muffler, people usually think their asian. but its all good. im thinkin bout a kit myself.

infact - isnt atleast 60% of cars in america, american cars?

when i see a car with a body kit and exhaust i dont think the person is asian...i usually just judge the car and not think of what kind of person is riding in it...but maybe thats cause i dont really stereotype people and things...

i think the term 'ricey' describes cars that are overdone. Overdone as in too much decals, or graphics. I used to think the VS kit was ricey, but if its done right like a lot of people here have, it is not 'ricey'. so some cars with a kit and loud muffler can be 'ricey'. most cars like this i see are usually always honda civics and older accord models. but then again, its what the owner of the car likes and if he/she likes it, then thats it.

people have a bad impression on them just because of how they have seen them on cars.

Why do we get into these Rice or no Rice disscussions every week?? I think that they are pointless..I have said it before and I will say it again...It is a hobby! if you want to put 800 stickers on there go ahead. If you want a body kit, a muffler, loweer it whatever...It is personal preference and I dont think that anyone has the right to say that a car is ricy for whatever reason...Most of the time they are jealous of what the other person has and they cant get it so they talk sh*t!

my car looks asian, well because its asian. plus its a lot cooler than muscle cars

majorly disagree ... i got my celi in 2000... got my kit this year.. once i put my kit on my neighbors asked if i got a new car, people started complementing me @ lights, + the little kids on my block give me a thumbs up every time i pass (little kids love the celi )... this is all after never before!
