Hey everyone, long time lurker here from N.C. Just recently found and bought a clean 2 owner 2001 GTS in red with the 6spd. I bought it to be my daily driver because I also have a 2017 SS Camaro that I’m trying to keep miles off of. I came from a background of swapping and racing Honda’s back in the day, after that I got out of the car game but never fell out of love with it.

Fast forward to a few years ago I got back into cars but with V8’s and I’ve been loving it ever since. Up until a few months ago I enjoyed driving my new SS everyday, but quickly realized I wanted to keep the miles off of it because of my plans down the road for the car. I started looking for a clean under 200k GTS Celica because I always wanted one since way back when but never bit the bullet. So I found this one and couldn’t be happier, the owner before me took good care of it and just replaced all the motor mounts along with all new suspension bushings as well as new Pilot Super Sports and synthetic oil changes every 5,000 miles. Sorry for the long introduction but wanted to introduce myself!

Hey man, welcome!

Congrats on your new purchase. Sure does look like a nice one. Are you planning on doing anything to the Celica, or keeping it stock since its to be your daily driver? You've picked the right car and the right place!

PS: Please keep that red paint looking as good as it does.

Well I want to find somewhere close to me to replace my lift bolts if they’re broken, that is my first concern even though my lift is working but it just seems weak. I was hoping someone on here may be near me and could help cause I do not wanna have to pay to get the broken one out if that’s the case. As far as mods go I do wanna do the A’PEXi Power FC and I/h/e and I think that would make the perfect daily! The car is currently sitting at 176,000 miles and doesn’t need a whole lot so mods are soon to come. And I will most definitely keep the paint looking good, I’m very picky about my cars!

Gotcha. If you've swapped Hondas in the past, I can almost promise that you're capable of changing the lift bolts yourself if you'd like. There's a how to guide if you look for it and there's not much to the procedure. Even if the bolts are broken, a cheap screw extractor kit will take them right out.

Let me know if you find a decent price for the PFC and keep us updated!
