Hey all, haven't had a celica since 2009, then it was 2 1994 st models. One was a notch back auto, the other was a hatch back 5 speed. Loved the cars, they fit me well.
Well fast forward, wife, 3 kids, moved 3000 miles cross country back to Long Island Ny. Had a motorcycle accident, and am getting away from that hobby. As for cars, toyotas have mostly been my drivers, and my fun cars were always Big Old and v8. I recently acquired a 1998 Gt Convertable and would like to use it as a slow race car (autocross) and for summer days with the top down.

Hey man, welcome!

Sorry to hear about the motorcycle accident- you'll never see me on a motorcycle LOL. But looks like you've found some solid compensation for it! Looks like a clean Celica. The paint looks good, and if it is the original paint, you ought to keep it that way! I think you'll love to convertible lifestyle too.

Keep us updated!

It was repainted a few years back. Does need a little repair in the 1/4s behind the wheels. I need to pull the trans and do the synchros, just wish I had it out on the bench already since I'm on crutches from a knee surgery would have been nice to have been able to do it while recovering. I need to find window track parts for the right 1/4 window and maybe some roof parts as one part was welded together, it operates ok though. Other than that it's a nice car. I'll go through brake lines and the likes when I'm more mobile.
