Hi

I would like to replace the gear stick gaiter.

Has anyone replaced the gaiter and how to go about adding my current wire to the new gaiter?

Where can i get a name of the metal clip for the top of the gaiter? Does it have another name to help me search?

Does it need to be sewed? or clips?

I have found a replacement on ebay but it doesnt come with a top clip or with the wire frame.

Pics of my current gaiter added

Thanks

Hey boss. If you completely remove the shifter boot from the shifter, you can get a better look at how the thing works. To transfer the wire, you either have to undo some staples/glue or just cut off the material around the wire. I forget to be honest. And for the circle cap at the top, I *think* it may come apart by twisting. Once the top part of the chrome cap is off, it should slide off.

Gaiter arrived with the bottom metal frame thankfully. Looks pretty good. Thanks to all who provided input, pretty simple to install and happy with the result. Thank You.
