Hey guys,

Recently just got a bone stock Celica GT with 170km on it. Always wanted a Celica and now I finally have one. just a couple things I want to know..
Anything I should know about owning a celica?
first thing to mod??
tips/routines??

Hey man, congrats on the recent purchase! I think you'll find you'll get a lot of car for the money. Now I'll try to answer your questions.

The 00-02 GT models with the 1zz engine are known to consume oil. Regularly check your oil level.

You may discover that modding Celicas isn't as cheap as modding a Honda or other import. The aftermarket is small and expensive. Unless you're looking to spend big money or do a major overhaul, stick to the basics: intake, exhaust, short shifter, wheels/tires, etc.

Just keep an eye on that oil level! It'll treat you well if you treat it well!

Lose all the excess weight, remove back passenger seats, replace driver & pass seat with lighter racing seats, remove comfortable but not needed stuff like AC, cruise etc. That’s the cheaper stuff to help in my opinion. Won’t gain you whp, but it’ll def help. I’m new to owning a Celica too and these are just little things I’ve done.
