can someone tell me how to change the automatic transmission fluid for thgts celica 2001

Its easy enough to take your car to the dealership service center and pay them the $40 - $80 to do it.

Though, doing it yourself it would cost:
TYPE-T transmission oil (Toyota sells this at about $6 a quart)
$30 for trans oil
$10 for disposal fee
and about 2 hours of your time.

Toyota can have it done in 30 - 60 minutes while you wait. plus a free 21 point inspection.

If your fluid is starting to look or smell burnt or discolored. Think twice before changing it out completely. Often the thick burnt fluid is the only thing keeping that automatic shifting properly. The clutch material in the fluid acts as an abrasive in the valve body passages. If it's all drained out and replaced with new it can wash out the passages and render the valve body inoperable. If you have nice clean fluid it's a great preventative maintenance routine. But a lot of transmission shops wont do the service after the initial break in.
