Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Downpipes?

Hey!! Where do you guys get the downpipe for the celicas? Or did you guys got them customized? Also how much would they cost? Thanks

You mean mid-pipe? That would be the pipe connecting the header to the muffler. It has 2 O2 sensors on it, 1 catylitic converter and 1 resonator.

I almost think that you would have to get a custom job done to remove those aforementioned items. I had to have my resonator removed by a shop (60.00 charge) but nice and loud. About the Cat, look into high flows 50.00 to 150.00 depending if you get a universal or specific fit for your car. and then about 50.00 to put it on.

If you are doing a custom exhaust, keep in mind that your celica is n/a (naturally asperated) or NON turbo there for you need to have some back pressure for optimum hp . If you remove your cat and resonater your exhaust will be nice and loud while your car is going nice and slow. Your best bet is to put in a new exhaust with wider piping from the resonator back. I have the best sound around and not another celica around here can even touch me. 15.6 @ 89mph with no engine mods, just exhaust and butterfly valve removed!!
