I have a 2000 Celica GT-S. It's just over about 250,000 miles, and she's been babied most of it, never missed an oil change.

I would like to know if, with that type of mileage, is there a possibility that going into Lift would cause any damage to the engine? It's completely stock, again, it's a 2000 model with the right ECU, so lift engages at 6000rpm, and would let you wind it out to 8600rpm but I would never take it past 8000rpm which is where the actual redline is on the tach.

Do my worries have any meaning or should I be okay to have fun with my car? Does the lift system put any major load on the rest of the components?

I appreciate any answers.

The engine is designed for lift. There is no flat number of times you can hit lift before the engine fails.

If you have other issues, you may want to.check those "as a whole" regarding the stability of your vehicle.

Enjoy driving your Celica smile its fun to drive

Thanks! I've just been worried about it a lot since I got the car three years ago. Haven't really explored it yet. I might play with it a little tomorrow. Appreciate it!
