Celica Forums General Discussion General 3rd/4th Gear shifting issues

Hey all. Just wanted to make a quick thread to ask if there would be any issues using 2003+ synchros on 2000 model gears in a C60 MT. I saw a forum post elsewhere that said that there were updated parts for 3rd/4th gear, and need to know if those are necessary upgrades for 2003+ synchronizers. All answers help, I just need to know if I'm taking my transmission back out after rebuilding it.

Just commenting to save this thread before I pull mine next week for the same problem lol.

Wanted to report back with the findings that those said upgrades (Updated 3rd and 4th Gears, shift hub, and synchros) are all required if you are putting 03+ synchros into a 2000 model year transmission. My solution currently is that I've found and bought early styled synchronizers that will be here tomorrow and will have to pull the transmission back out of the car.

What are the issues i did a transmission replacement on my 03 celica from what i think was an 00 or 02 and i do hear a grind sometimes when i shift into 3rd gear after a cold start. I never put much thought into it though.
