Hi I'm fixing a 2000 Celica GTS. On the front I found a sensor that wasn't attached to anything. Could someone tell me what it is and where does it goes?

Forgot to mention the sensor is on the front passenger side of the front bumper.

That is the outside air temperature sensor.

The car should have an indicator on the rear view mirror showing temp.

It should tied down securely or shocks and vibration will kill it.

O thanks for the help. Do you know where is supposed to be attached? It has a spring clamp.

Does it work and show temperature in the rear view mirror?

That does not look like the OEM sensor with a metal tab with a hole for mounting. Just zip tie it to the stud that holds the lower lip. Keep it inside the lip to prevent damages from debris, high wind and water/moisture on the road.
