I'm going to assume you know what a power steering pump is for and just say It's your Power Steering Pump pressure sensor as it is plugged directly into your Power Steering Pump. :) It's function is to tell the ECM what the pressure of your fluid is — if you're low, etc... so the check engine light will come on.
